Trends in the Japanese and Global Content Industries
The gross product of the Japanese content industry is $90 billion.
Worldwide, it is $820 billion.In comparison to the US, despite producing high quality content, studios in Japan have not linked this with the correct business approaches.
The Tokyo Anime Fair was established in order to help address the problems faced by the Japanese industry in bridging the gap between the domestic and global markets.About the Tokyo Anime Fair
This lecture is aimed at providing young creators with the information they need for setting up and running a booth at the Tokyo Anime Fair.
We also hope to give provide support for those creators in order to aid their development as professionals.
As the Fair is aimed at the overseas market and a large number of buyers attend from overseas, multilingual brochures and interpreters are required.

The current climate within the Chinese content industry
By implementing regulations aimed at trying to protect the domestic anime market, opportunities for coming into contact with outstanding anime from overseas are decreasing resulting in an environment in which it is difficult to cultivate talented creators with the right skills.

Building good face to face relationships is essential. China is a country which values “keeping face”
It is therefore essential to take an approach which pays respect to our Chinese counterparts.
We need to consider how we can best apply the media mix from Japan into development of the Chinese market.
